What We Do
Bridge Equity supports PK-12 schools, organizations and non profits with strategic planning, professional development and coaching. After engaging with Bridge Equity, our partners are more equipped to develop, cultivate and sustain excellence through equity for their school community.
Professional Development
We approach professional learning an equity lens. We do this by centering the needs of our partners and their communities, then, use our expertise and experience to providing learning opportunities in service of student achievement.
We partner with schools to provide flexible instructional coaching to support teachers and leaders. Learn more about our coaching here.
We partner with school to deliver and/or create high quality professional learning opportunities. This includes our Curriculum Launch for Excellence and Equity series, in addition to trainings on instructional best practices and classroom culture. What sets up apart from other educational support organizations is our adaptability for different learning environment and culturally relevant practices.
Planning
We begin with a thorough analysis which includes an artifact review, school based observations, and quantitative AND qualitative data exploration. After developing an understanding of the current state and future ambitions, we engage school leaders, their teams and communities in one of the following:
First, we build trusting relationship with our partners by authentically engaging in a collaborative audit of their mission, vision and values. Then, in partnership, create a multi year implementation plan, which includes termly plans to support accountability. Throughout the plan, we provide tools and thought partnership to ensure goals are met.
Increasingly, school are tasked with identifying the best curriculum for their schools community. Our curriculum adoption support enables schools to not only select a high quality curriculum as defined by edreports.org, but also a curriculum that is engaging, affirming and meaningful to their school community.
